Last year, Austin psych-punk band Kingdom of Suicide Lovers released their "Distant Waves" LP. I'll admit, i'm a little behind on this, but in my defense, i'm a new dad, and i don't sleep anymore, so i'm going to miss some hometown bands here and there. At any rate, the quartet has a real good groove going for them, with elements of The Velvet Underground and The Fall with an occasional spattering of Suicide (go figure). I imagine i need to see these guys and girl in a smokey room with lots of flashing lights. Listen to the title track below and get the album on
