Black Thread

San Francisco's Black Thread just released a 5" (?) of droney, ambient, atmospheric tape loops, the audio sound of degradation and decay called "Sipping Sapphire."  That something so seemingly simple can evoke such a sense of devastation and loss is just insane to me.  It's like a short, lo-fi version of William Basinski's "Disintegration Loops."  Take a listen to "Sipping Sapphire (B)" below and get the record here.
